We are delighted to present FACE TO FACE, an extraordinary portrait teaching research exhibition by Professor Zhao Yingming. This exhibition, inaugurated by Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Murtaza Jafri, is not just a collection of paintings; it is a journey into human expression, identity, and the evolving traditions of portraiture.

Professor Zhao Yingming, a renowned Chinese oil painter and art educator, whose teaching methodology is at the heart of this exhibition. His approach goes beyond technique, emphasising on the philosophy of seeing, encouraging students to observe, understand, and translate human essence onto canvas. His work reflects a deep engagement with both historical and modern artistic practices, fostering meaningful cultural dialogue between Pakistan, China, and beyond.

This showcase brings together a diverse range of portraits, capturing not just the likeness but also the spirit and stories of his subjects. Each painting is a testament to the power of portraiture in preserving heritage, evoking emotions, and celebrating individuality.

The exhibition will remain open until March 14, 2025, from 9:00 am till 3:00 pm at Zahoor ul Akhlaq Gallery, NCA.
