We had the pleasure of hosting the thought provoking solo exhibition by Dr. Ayesha Siddiqui, titled "You See What I Want You to See," hosted at the Zahoor ul Akhlaq Gallery, National College of Arts. This remarkable showcase was inaugurated on April 10th, 2025, under the patronage of Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Murtaza Jafri.
Dr. Ayesha Siddiqui, an acclaimed contemporary Pakistani painter and academic, brings a bold conceptual lens to her art. Her work delves into themes of concealment, camouflage, and illegibility, using a structured yet gestural language of layered paint, tiny squares, and geometric forms. With over twenty solo exhibitions and international representation including the Asian Art Biennale and the Asian Art Expo in Beijing, her contributions continue to shape Pakistan’s art narrative.
This exhibition is not just a visual experience but an invitation to question perception itself. The show will be open from 10:00 am till 4:30 pm, April 16th, 2025 to witness a body of work that challenges what we see and what we’re allowed to.
